Outline

The Outline is a compact, top-to-bottom view of the manuscript — headings and synopses without the prose — for seeing shape at a glance.

What it shows

Each document's title and synopsis in reading order, so you can read the arc of the book as a summary rather than scrolling the full text.

Using it

• Click an entry to jump to that document in the Editor.
• Edit a synopsis here or in Document Info; it feeds the Outline, the Corkboard, and exports.
• Use it alongside the Documents tree when restructuring.
