Editor

The Editor is where you write. It is a full word processor: rich text with named paragraph styles, tables, footnotes, inline images, and links — not a plain-text box.

What it shows

The body of the document currently selected in the Documents tree. A formatting toolbar across the top gives you font family and size, bold/italic/underline/strikethrough, sub- and superscript, text and highlight colour, alignment, lists, indent, block quotes, a horizontal rule, and a Styles gallery (Body Text, Title, Heading 1–3, Block Quote, Caption).

Using it

• Type a character or place name and, if it matches a Codex entry (or one of its aliases), it links itself — hover for a card, or use Next/Previous Mention (F8 / Shift+F8).
• Insert ▾ adds a table, a footnote, an image, a citation, an embed of another document/entity, or a GM-only callout.
• AI ▾ offers Summarize, Continue, Brainstorm, Rewrite, and a canon-consistency check — all through the provider you configure in AI Settings (off by default).
• Ctrl+wheel (or Ctrl+±) zooms the text. Windows ▸ Page Layout View shows the page as it prints; Distraction-Free, Typewriter, and Focus modes are on the Windows menu too.
