Planning & structure
Plan the book, then track the work.
Structure the story
- Plot Threads: plot lines and character arcs, each a colour, tagged onto scenes; link a thread to a character to make it that character's arc.
- Beat Sheet: plot against Three-Act, Hero's Journey, Save the Cat!, or Snowflake, and see which beats still need a scene.
- Outline and Corkboard: read and rearrange the manuscript as summaries or index cards.
Track the work
- Tasks is a checklist; the Board is its kanban view; the Agenda buckets dated tasks by when they are due.
- Submissions tracks where you have sent work and what came back.
Save a Planning perspective (Windows ▸ Perspectives) to bring these together.
