Timeline

The Timeline is the app's flagship: events, eras, and lifespans on your calendar — invented months, invented reckonings — that validates itself as you build it.

What it shows

The Story view — one central dated axis with colour-coded event pills tied to it by leader lines, category lanes above and below, lifespan and series bars, and a labelled era row. Dates are shown in the calendar you defined for the project.

Using it

• Create an event in place; drag a pill to change its date; drag a span bar's edge to resize a duration. Click a pill to expand its detail card (description, participants, location, scenes).
• Pointer-anchored wheel zoom; Shift pans; Fit, Go to Date, a minimap, bookmarks, and keyboard navigation help you move around a long history.
• Group, filter, colour, and reorder lanes; add a quantitative series lane to read the timeline as a graph.
• Contradictions surface in the Conflicts dock.
