Inspector

The Inspector edits the entity selected in the Codex — its summary, its fields, its aliases, and its image gallery.

What it shows

The selected entity's name, a summary, every field its category defines, its aliases/nicknames, and a thumbnail strip for its gallery (the first image is its cover).

Using it

• Edit fields inline; a Reference field offers the entities it can point at by name.
• Add aliases so nicknames link in prose and are found in search.
• Add gallery images (import a file or link an existing one); reorder, set the cover, or open one in the Media dock.
• Entities from a read-only mounted library show read-only; a read/write library's entities are editable and save back to the library.

Edits commit on focus-out and are flushed on Save.
